Get Licensed and Set Up

Once approved, you will begin preparing for launch. HomeTeam covers the cost of your initial technical training, which leads to your home inspection license or certification based on your state’s requirements. At the same time, we will help you take care of the essential business setup tasks. From forming your legal entity to getting insurance in place and opening your business accounts, we will walk you through each step so you never have to figure it out on your own.

Train for Success

After licensing, you will attend HomeTeam Orientation, a small business ownership experience designed to prepare you for day-to-day operations and long-term success. You will shadow experienced franchise owners during real inspections, gaining valuable field knowledge. You will also participate in our in-depth sales bootcamp, where you will learn how to build referral relationships and drive business growth. Our training is designed to give you the technical confidence, business tools, and market knowledge to launch strong.

Launch and Grow

With training complete and your foundation in place, you are ready to open your doors. You will likely begin as part of your first inspection team while also managing scheduling, sales, and operations. As your business grows, we will support you in hiring and scaling your team so you can step out of the field and focus on leadership, sales, and long-term growth. You are building more than just a job. You are building a business with real equity and lasting value.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Franchise Owner

Inspections

In the beginning, you’ll be part of your first inspection team, helping deliver fast, accurate reports to homebuyers. As your business expands, you’ll hire and manage multiple teams to serve more clients and increase your capacity.

Sales & Marketing

You’ll work to build relationships with local real estate professionals through phone calls, meetings, emails, and social media. These connections are the foundation of your referral network and help drive steady business.

Networking

Attending real estate events, open houses, and office visits is a key part of your visibility in the community. Consistent networking helps you stay top-of-mind with agents and expand your local brand presence.
