Being a business owner is nothing new for Jay—he owned a textile cleaning company, Guaranteed Karpet Kleen, for 24 years. Jay achieved Master Textile Cleaner, Master Water Restorer, and Master Fire & Smoke Restorer status—an honor accomplished by less than 1,000 people in the carpet cleaning industry nationwide.
In addition, Jay has sales experience within the textile industry. At his previous business, he worked with many real estate agents so a transition to the home inspection industry is a logical move. Jay looks forward to helping prospective homebuyers navigate the world of inspections and get the house of their dreams!
Jay chose HomeTeam specifically because of the people. “I felt from the beginning that everyone on the management team was genuinely interested in my success. I thought the operational model of using a team to make inspections move faster and become more streamlined made a lot of sense,” he says.
When Jay isn’t working, you can find him cooking, camping, boating, fishing, and hunting for crabs. He’s dabbled with flying planes when he was gifted an introductory flight class where he flew over the Chesapeake Bay—with an instructor of course!
